CEDAR BLUFF PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
JUNE 5, 2006 AT 5:00 P.M.
The Cedar Bluff Planning Commission met in regular session in the Council Room at Town Hall, 3420 Spring Street, Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Monday, June 5, 2006 at 5:00 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Chairman Herb Sherwin presided and called the meeting to order. Members in attendance were as follows:

Also present was Zoning Enforcement Officer Jimmy Wallace.
Item No. 1: Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Herb Sherwin.
Item No. 2: Approve minutes of May 1, 2006 meeting
A motion was made by Billy Harris, seconded by Jerry Holt, that the minutes be approved as presented. Motion carried (5-0).
Item No. 3: Public hearing to consider changing Article V, Section 11.2, to permit residential structures in the HC; Highway Commercial Zoning District.
Chairman Herb Sherwin declared a public hearing in session to consider changing Article V, Section 11.2, to permit residential structures in the HC; Highway Commercial Zoning District. No persons appeared.
A motion was made by W K Summers, seconded by Jerry Holt to make recommendation to the Town Council to change Article V, Section 11.2, to permit residential structures in the HC; Highway Commercial Zoning District. Motion carried (5-0).
Item No. 4: Public hearing to consider changing the following:
· Change Article V, Section 6.3, Paragraph E Maximum Structure Height from Thirty-five (35) feet for all structures that are not exempt from height requirements, as specified in Article III, Section 3.1 of this Ordinance to Fifty (50) feet.
· Change Article V, Section 7.3, Paragraph E Maximum Structure Height from Thirty-five (35) feet for all structures that are not exempt from height requirements, as specified in Article III, Section 3.1 of this Ordinance to Fifty (50) feet.
· Change Article V, Section 5.3, Paragraph E Maximum Structure Height from Thirty-five (35) feet for all structures that are not exempt from height requirements, as specified in Article III, Section 3.1 of this Ordinance to Fifty (50) feet.
Chairman Herb Sherwin declared a public hearing in session to consider changing Article V, Section 5.3 (RR), Paragraph E Maximum Structure Height; 6.3 (R-1), Paragraph E Maximum Structure Height; 7.3 (R-2), Paragraph E Maximum Structure Height from Thirty-five (35) feet for all structures that are not exempt from height requirements, as specified in Article III, Section 3.1 of this Ordinance to Fifty (50) feet. No persons appeared.

Item No. 5: New Business
In New Business, the Commission discussed the rezoning request submitted by Ethel Sprouse for property located on Spring Street.
The Commission discussed a fee increase for rezoning applications. The issue will be discussed in more detail at a later date.
Item No. 6: Adjournment
There being no further business to be considered, a motion was made by Jerry Holt, seconded by Billy Harris, that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried (5-0).
