CEDAR BLUFF PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

MAY 5, 2008 AT 5:00 P.M.

 

The Cedar Bluff Planning Commission met in regular session in the Council Room at Town Hall, 3420 Spring Street, Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Monday, May 5, 2008 at 5:00 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Chairman Herb Sherwin presided and called the meeting to order.  Members in attendance were as follows:

Item No. 1:                                                       Call to Order

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Herb Sherwin.

 

Item No. 2:                                                       Approve minutes of the April 7, 2008 meeting

 

A motion was made by W K Summers, seconded by Leatha Harp that the minutes be approved as presented.  Motion carried (7-0).

 

Item No. 3:                                                       Public hearing and consider rezoning property located on Old Highway 9, owned by Ethel Sprouse from “R-2” Medium Density Residential District to “HC”, Highway Commercial Zoning District.

 

Chairman Herb Sherwin opened a public hearing to consider rezoning property located on Old Highway 9, owned by Ethel Sprouse from “R-2” Medium Density Residential District to “HC”, Highway Commercial Zoning District.

No persons appeared.

It was noted that Mrs. Sprouse had expressed her desire to withdraw this application and resubmit an amended rezoning application

Secretary DeLana Martin will post a public hearing for the new application to be considered at the next meeting.

 

Item No. 4:                                                       Public hearing and consider creating a zoning district for Commercial Campgrounds.

 

Chairman Herb Sherwin opened a public hearing to consider creating a zoning district for Commercial Campgrounds.

No persons appeared.

A motion was made by Jerry Holt, seconded by Leatha Harp, to work on creating a zoning district for Commercial Campgrounds “CC” and make recommendation for approval to the Town Council. Motion carried (7-0)

 

Item No. 5:                                                       Old Business.

 

There was no Old Business to be considered.

 

Item No. 6:                                                       New Business

 

There was no New Business to be considered.

 

Item No. 7:                                                       Adjournment.

 

There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by DeLana Martin, seconded by Leatha Harp, that the meeting be adjourned (5::34 p. m).  Motion carried (7-0).
