SPECIAL CALLED TOWN COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, APRIL 24, 2006 AT 4:00 P.M.
The Town Council of the Town of Cedar Bluff, County of Cherokee, State of Alabama, met in a Special Session in the Council Room at Town Hall, 3420 Spring Street, Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Monday, April 24, 2006 at 4:00 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Mayor Martha Baker presided and called the meeting to order. Members in attendance were as follows:

AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Consider signing of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding assistance application for a Neighborhood Revitalization Project to submit to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.

After reading the resolution, the Mayor inquired about the other council member’s interpretation of the housing rehabilitation. Council Member Sprouse advised the CIVITAN club would be doing work on the housing rehabilitation.
It was also noted that this grant would furnish monies for low and middle income families only.
After a lengthy discussion, a motion was made by Sprouse, seconded by Harp, to pass and adopt the resolution as presented. Motion carried (5-0).

There being no further business to be discussed, a motion was made by Sprouse, seconded by Burkhalter, that the meeting be adjourned at 4:31 p.m.. Motion carried (5-0).
