Billie Burkhalter was born and raised in Cedar Bluff and is a graduate of Cedar Bluff High School. She is retired after 35 years of service from the State of Alabama Department of Transportation as Gadsden District Office Manager. She and husband Donald Burkhalter (also an ALDOT retiree) have a daughter, Donna (Jason) Cobb, and two grandchildren, Ty and Hunter. Mrs. Burkhalter is currently attending training classes that along with her previous experience will help her continue to improve Cedar Bluff.
