providing public relations and governmental affairs assistance to the
Coosa Valley, Northwest Alabama, and the Alabama's Mountains Rivers and
Valleys Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Councils in North
Alabama, covering 24 counties.
Education: B.S. Degree in Forestry from Auburn
University, 1972
Awards: USDA Certificate of Merit (8 times),
selected Civitan Citizen of the Year for Grove Hill in 1999, member of
the first class of Leadership Clarke County, RC&D Coordinator of the
Year in 1995 and 2001 for Alabama, Southeastern U.S. Coordinator of the
Year in 2002.
Personal Data: 60 years old, born and raised in
Talladega, AL, graduated from Talladega High School, married to wife
Susan for 38 years, three children, choir member at Centre First United
Methodist Church, Member of the Cedar Bluff Civitan Club, Past President
and co-founder of Clark County Kingdom Builders-a housing repair
ministry, Life Member and Fellow of the Society of John Wesley of United
Methodist Men, Life Member of the National PTA, Past President of the
Clarke County Parks and Recreation Board, Past Chairman of the Board of
Black Belt Treasures, Inc., Co-Founder and Chairman of the River
Highlands Community Development Corporation-a non-profit organization
covering Cherokee, Calhoun, Cleburne, and Dekalb Counties, Served 6
years in the Alabama Army National Guard, Enjoys fishing on Weiss Lake.
