CEDAR BLUFF PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

AUGUST 4, 2008 AT 5:00 P.M.

 

The Cedar Bluff Planning Commission met in regular session in the Council Room at Town Hall, 3420 Spring Street, Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Monday, August 4, 2008 at 5:00 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Chairman Herb Sherwin presided and called the meeting to order.  Members in attendance were as follows:

Item No. 1:                                                       Call to Order

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Herb Sherwin.

 

Item No. 2:                                                       Approve minutes of the July 7, 2008 meeting

 

A motion was made by W K Summers, seconded by Leatha Harp that the minutes be approved as presented.  Motion carried (6-0).

 

Item No. 3:                                                       Old Business.

 

In Old Business Chairman Sherwin advised he had requested East Alabama Planning Commission to research other communities to see what was available pertaining to commercial campground regulations.

Mr. Sherwin distributed the ordinance from Guntersville and asked the Commission to look over it and be ready to discuss possible uses that may be beneficial to Cedar Bluff at the next meeting.

 

Item No. 5:                                                       New Business

 

In New Business, Secretary DeLana Martin advised the September meeting would be held on Tuesday, September 2 since the 1st is Labor Day.

It was also the consensus of the Commission that since the Town Council meeting in November would be held on the first Monday in November 2008 that the Planning Commission would reschedule their November meeting to be the second Monday in November.

 

Item No. 7:                                                       Adjournment.

 

There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by DeLana Martin, seconded by Leatha Harp, that the meeting be adjourned (5::33 p. m).  Motion carried (8-0).
