Available Position

The Town of Cedar Bluff is taking applications for the position of Town Clerk. Application deadline is November 13, 2018. Must be a high school graduate and possess a strong accounting background. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, quarterly taxes and general book keeping, and preparation of the agenda for the town council and taking minutes of meetings. General clerical work: typing, filing, purchasing, data entry and general contact for citizens concerning town business. Also, management and processing of town elections as required by state law. Responsible/accountable for all deposits. Must be highly organized with multitasking capabilities. Municipal government experience or training a plus. Must either possess a Magistrate Certificate or be able to obtain one in six months. Salary is based on related experience, education and training.
